Artist Statement

The work proposes an utopian vision of the future, bringing together various symbols of natural and idealized beauty as a counterpoint of resistance to reality. 

​Artist bio 

Lais Sobral is a Brazilian contemporary artist graduated in drawing and painting from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Her work has been shown in numerous exhibitions in Brazil and abroad. Mixed media is used to address issues such as the representation of the feminine and ways of coping with reality.
She currently lives and works in Italy.
